Shaver Shop recorded total sales growth of 8.0% in FY2019. This was supported by underlying (ex Daigou) like for like sales growth of 4.8% and online sales growing 30.0%. Pleasingly from a product category perspective, the strong underlying sales growth was realised across its core hair removal categories as well as in hair styling. Normalised gross profit margins increased 120 basis points to 42.6% leading to normalised EBITDA of $13.5 million for the 2019 financial year. At 30 June 2019, Shaver Shop’s store network across Australia and New Zealand consisted of 113 corporate stores and 8 franchises. In the first two months of FY2020, two franchises were acquired with one new store scheduled to open in New Zealand in late October 2019. Shaver Shop’s strong operating cash flow and sound financial position led to Shaver Shop’s board of directors declaring full year dividends of 4.5 cents per share (80% franked).
